Hay cosas que se quedan sin importar el tiempo que pase.¿Qué cosas? Todas las cosas. Algunas cosas desaparecen otras se convierten en alimento de otras, de un árbol nace otro y así sucesivamente. Me da mucho gusto haberla encontrado, a esta canción. Lloro cuando la escucho. Quizá fue uno de esos abrazos entre la música y los sentimientos que no tienen una verdadera razón "lógica" o aparente de ser. En esos tiempos muchas cosas se estaban acabando y muchas otras estaban iniciando. Pero yo no quería verlo, no quería aceptarlo. Muchas veces, aceptar que el plan a, el b y el c salieron extraños significa... bueno, lo impórtante es que Rebecca Sugar apareció en mi vida en un buen momento, me ayudó a relajarme y sentir los cambios. Pero, claro, yo no quería hacerlo. Quizá por eso todavía me conmueve así escuchar este tema. Porque no es tan lejos y porque siento que podría regresar a ese punto, a fingir que todo va bien, abrir cosas, cerrar cosas, pensar como antes, que el problema era de alguien más. Pero no me dan ganas de regresar así.
Muchas experiencias de vida resultan dolorosas, pero, hasta cierto punto, ese dolor proviene de nuestro propio deseo de permanencia. Marceline, el personaje de Adventure Time cantó esta canción después de comprender muchas cosas sobre su pasado y quizá tras echar un vistazo muy breve a su propio futuro. Hay cosas a las que no quisieramos renunciar, pero... ¿eso significa que esas cosas van a dejar de cambiar porque nosotros deseamos mirarmos por siempre en un marco cerca de ellas, como dentro de una fotografía? No sé que significa la mitad de lo que siento, pero me da gusto sentirlo. Tengo miedo, siento a veces mucho miedo, pero sigo adelante. Sé que cuanto hice permanecerá, aunque por siempre seguirá cambiando. De forma imperceptible pasa, porque al final de cuentas todo permanece.
